The antislip tread prevents slipping. The conveyor attaches to both sides of the gantry for “free” powerand moves along with the gantry and across the pit floor.Push button controls were added as well as Savage RPC (Ram Position Control) stroke controls for accurate positional stopping setpoint. Anew festoon style cabling system was wired to each accessory. Accessories were modified in 2012 fromshaft-purposed to flat bar (gear rack) style. New hydraulic pumps/electric motors were added to theaccessories in 2012.The 50 ft. bed is the longest of those of commercially made, which provides the benefit of crane loading longbars to one side of the gantry. It is also rare in that it was built to take 1000 tons over its full length.
